Bhai Aroor Singh Manochahal, 42 years old, was employed as a helper in the SGPC and had never participated in any Kharku activity. He was summoned by Khalra Police station for routine questioning, which he attended fearlessly. The police detained him and subjected him to severe torture for 13 days. Ultimately, he was killed in a fake encounter on 28th December 1992. He left behind his wife and six children.
